People Are Accepting Funeral Incremating Over Burial
A traditional embalming and in-ground burial usually come to mind when burial services are discussed. They may have been the usual tradition for decades, but, the current trend is moving towards Funeral Cremation. One of the primary reasons for this is the reduced cost. A scattering ceremony can be conducted.
Disposition by fire brings horrible connotations to some. However, the embalming procedure also has unpleasant implications. It seems to be a matter of personal opinion as to which is preferable.
The most important thing to consider is the reputation of a funeral director to serve the family. It should go without question that the remains are treated with the utmost respect through all phases of the process. A memorial service can be held that is comparable to one held prior to an in-ground burial.
In many cases, the cremains, which means the cremated remains, are buried with other family members in a cemetery. Alternatively, ashes are kept in a funerary urn. Ashes can also be scattered over water or land as the deceased requested prior to death.
Depending on the wishes of the family, a church service, memorial service at the funeral home and a graveside service can still be held. In some cultures, the family will want to be present during the actual cremation. This can be accommodated in most cases.
A columbarium is an indoor or outdoor building with spaces to hold the cremains of multiple decedents. Each one has a plaque to identify the person interred within. The columbarium is located on cemetery grounds.
In addition to the option to scatter the cremains, they can be kept in an urn. For a family with more than one person wanting to keep the ashes, there are smaller urns that can each hold a portion. This satisfies everyone and avoids disagreement at the time of bereavement.
Many times, disagreements among family members can be avoided by Funeral Cremation and the use of multiple urns. After the process is completed, a memorial service and scattering or burial of the ashes can be held. If burial is chosen, the deceased will be placed in the family plot with those who preceded him in death.
