Basics You Need To Know About Funeral Prayer Cards

Once you have found out that someone you know has died, you will normally want to help out in whatever way you can. It is also common practice to offer tokens of sympathy such as a funeral prayer cards or flowers. This is a good way to show empathy towards the grieving family members of the deceased.

Religious families will appreciate that you have prayed for their lost loved one. It is a spiritual offering that is generally acceptable. If you want to give something else, consider sending a potted shrub as a token of remembrance. This shrub can be kept in the pot or planted into the ground to represent a long lasting memorial to the deceased.

You can also have your words of sympathy etched onto a slab of stone. This is an unconventional offering but a nice one. It can be placed at the gravesite or in the family's garden as a life-long memorial for their loved one. Make sure that your quotation is a pleasant one that brings to mind happy memories of deceased.

If you have photographs of the deceased that the family members do not have copies of, consider compiling them into an album. The recipients will appreciate this gift, especially if they have never seen the pictures before. Most family members collect items of the deceased after they die and this could make a good offering to them.

Brining trays of food is common custom and a considerate one if the family of the dead is hosting an after-burial reception. Your contribution can be helpful at a time when grieving family members would rather not bother with preparing food for guests. Choose non-perishable items that can last till the burial.

It is a nice gesture to give prayer cards during the wake or after the burial. You can offer a card with a bouquet of flowers. Present it in a pretty leatherette folder or in a picture frame with a stand.
